Simon leads our Building Diagnostics division having joined Jackson Teece in 2002. He has recently completed a Master of Design Science (Building) degree to complement his previous studies in architecture and construction.

His 12 years of experience in the construction industry in a variety of roles ranging from a professional architectural technician through owner-builder to labourer, afford him a unique perspective which makes him a sought-after team member on a variety of building projects.

His skills and key interests include complex construction detailing, technical specification writing, building regulations research and compliance analysis, and building systems replaceability and sustainability.

Simon is constantly updating his knowledge through self-guided study and technical seminars and training courses held by industry associations.

For the last five years he has worked in a 'hands-on' role with Peter Hartog, an internationally-recognised building diagnostics expert, and Peter McKenzie, the principal responsible for heritage conservation and building diagnostics. Through this practical experience, Simon has developed specialist skills in building diagnostics, repairs and numerous materials.
