Positioned on the fringe of Toronto’s Town Centre, Anglican Care’s site at Toronto currently provides an 80 bed nursing home and associated self-care dwellings in the form of single and two storey townhouses. With the acquisition of three adjacent residential properties, the site’s lower portion was assigned for re-development, the first stage of which, a 147 bed Residential Aged Care Facility, is now complete.

The facility is designed around a secure central courtyard and its living and dining areas and as many bedrooms as possible, make the most of the magnificent northerly views across Lake Macquarie and towards Mount Sugarloaf and the surrounding ranges.

Development of the remainder of the lower site portion will add Self-care Apartments focusing onto a Village Green and a Community Centre, providing a new in-ground lap pool, allied health suites for visiting health professionals, a ‘Men’s Shed’ and a 100 seat capacity Community Hall.
