Our proposal combined multi-level and multi-accessibility with a fully integrated railway station and bus interchange.  The commercial viability of the development is optimised and extensive water features act as a memory of historical heritage.

The character of the centre was enhanced by luxuriant indigenous vegetation with ramps integrating the ground plane with upper levels to minimise horizontal stratification and act as a unifying feature.

A wide range of services are provided with local social amenities such as corner pubs, a communal auditorium, cafés and open markets. Self-sustaining components such as supermarkets, police station, library, cinemas and restaurants were also included. Public spaces were landscaped to encourage outdoor cultural functions and community events.

The design showcased Environmentally Sustainable Design principles and practice.
