Located on the edge of Sydney's Middle Harbor at Clontarf, this new double story family residence is comprised of three distinct over-lapping volumes. The lower volume, shaped as a long narrow rectangle and clad in white painted brickwork contains the entry, children's bedrooms, bathroom, laundry and family rooms.

The upper planning is contained in two volumes, a smaller rectangle located toward the street frontage which houses a master bedroom, ensuite and parents study, linked via a glass corridor to the waterfront volume which is a large asymmetric wedge shape with soaring glass windows to capture the amazing harbor views. This second upper volume is zinc clad and houses the kitchen, living and dining rooms. A central floating stair allows for circulation.

The planning of the house places a larger footprint in the upper level, allowing for extensive landscaping and covered area's on the ground plain which create a relaxed series of entertainment and recreational spaces.

A modern house, the subtle finishes which include stone, terrazzo, timber and glass which combine to create a warm yet sophisticated residence.
