Designed for a north facing site bounded by Young St & Hunter St in Sydney Waterloo a series of 4 interlinked apartment blocks have been concieved to allow for architetcural articulation and material variation. The site has a envelop control of 15m within which we have proposed a 4 storey building with set-back fifth storey.

The long rectungular site has excellent northern exposure which lends itself to the creation of ‘lineal’ apartment plans, accessed via a southern breezeway style walkway. The building has a substantial setback to the northern boundary which allows for the retention of many significant mature trees.

A public rooftop garden is proposed across the buildings and is broken into two significant components each with a distinct outdoor activity. To the east are located BBQ facilities and shaded tables to allow for active social engagement whilst to the west a quiter parklands and garden is proposed.
