This project is for 260 apartments in the emerging area of Milton in the north east of Brisbane. This area is one of the four Transit Orientated Development nodes identified in Brisbane City’s Regional Plan and is designated for high density development. Jackson Teece has been engaged to prepare a revised development application and complete the project.

This project is made up of largely one and two bedroom apartments aimed at a mid-market price point. As part of our commission we prepared an analysis for the developer identifying all the projects in this precinct that are in planning or marketing / construction phases to assist in establishing market position.

With a wide rectangular foot-print and 20 storey height the building form presents as a perfect square in elevation. We have broken down the blocky form by breaking the building into 5 seperate components which assemble as a series of slender towers around two central cores. Gardens articulate the junction of the 5 forms and a change in material palette allows a subtle play of movement across the development.

Apartment interiors have been designed with 4 material palettes with an emphasis placed on textured warmth and detail. For the Northern core apartments have timber floors and polyurethane joinery, while for the Southern core the apartments have terazzo floors with veneer joinery.
