A residential conversion project for first time developers WA Bergman Pty Ltd, this development refurbishes a 1930’s Art Deco warehouse building into 11 contemporary multistory apartments.
Retaining an existing Art Deco facade to Glebe St, our proposal inserts new filigree louver elements into extended window apertures to create a new language of privacy.
To the Glebe Street frontage, 7 new three story two bedroom ‘townhouse’ style apartments are created over a common basement car park. To the rear lane [ northfacing ] 4 new two story apartments with north facing courtyards are proposed.
A neutral white scheme with touches of black detail is proposed to capture the graphic nature of the original Art Deco spirit.
This project has Development Application approval and is proceeding through design development & pre-sales.
