With the completion of the substantial duplication of the Hume Highway in late 2009, only the construction of three bypasses (a total of 20 kilometres) remained to complete the duplication between Melbourne and Sydney.

One of these is the Tarcutta Bypass. Its expected completion 2011 will provide a duplicated bypass of 6.8 kilometre section and remove the 50 kilometre per hour speed restriction that currently applies through the village of Tarcutta.

Jackson Teece was a team member of the successful tender by Leighton Contractors for the Northern Alliance works and was responsible for the urban design/architecture of the project by Leighton Contractors for the RTA.
