Jackson Teece prepared the master plan and subsequently developed the architectural design for the Southpoint Mixed-Use Development project located in the South Bank Precinct adjacent to the South Bank Railway Station. This project, which will be a focal point for the whole South Bank Precinct, was secured through an international urban design competition and has received high praise for its outstanding urban design and architectural response.

A latter stage of this development was the preparation of concept master plans for the 13 hectare site adjacent to the South Bank railway and bus stations.

This proposal completes the Transit Oriented Development planning for this Precinct with direct access link to the railway and bus station. The design was developed in consultation with relevant Queensland public agencies and South Bank Corporation. The development provided major public spaces, a department store, entertainment facilities supermarket and retail areas, with commercial offices and residential towers above. The residential accommodation also had a student housing component.

This development was designed as an extension to the public recreation and entertainment theme of the South Bank parklands and responds to the sub-tropical climate of Brisbane.
