The new interior for The Hotel School in Sydney's CBD has been designed to allow students to learn in a fresh and bright environment that has not compromised the overarching character or the original features within the building.

A light, neutral palette was introduced with pops of colour to invigorate and brighten the existing ambiance. It was important the new joinery and finishes complemented the heritage aesthetic, the original fireplaces in the common and meeting rooms becoming a prominent feature.

The intention was use these original features to create a space with a sense of grandeur that might be found in a luxury hotel to allow students to learn in a space that was inspiring and comparable to a real hotel experience. Flexible furniture was selected to create an agile environment in the common areas for learning and study.
